The orchestral suite is perhaps the perfect compositional technique to tell stories and condense broader ideas into smaller "chapters" for the listener. An evening of insightful, energetic, and creative suites by Bach, Grieg, Saint-Saens, Richard Strauss, and Coleridge-Taylor.

Symphonic music is synonymous with emotions - love, affection, inspiration. To get in the mood for Valentine's Day, the Symphony will bring music of Wagner, Tchaikovsky, Chopin, Bizet, and John Barry to the stage in celebration of heartfelt emotions.
In addition to the always inspiring performance from our local scholarship winner, Maestro Dollinger has selected several of the greatest moments from Beethoven's symphonies to create a virtual musical puzzle of sorts.
Muscatine's history is full of river stories. In this collaborative performance with the Muscatine Art Center, we see and hear how rivers have inspired artists and composers throughout history.
