“The Show (competition) Must Go On!”

October 27, 2020

Although the COVID-19 pandemic has crippled the arts and cultural community, young music students haven’t stopped practicing their instruments and music teachers are finding more and more ways to instruct and inspire in these bizarre times.

To that end, Maestro Dollinger believes that planning for the 2020-2021 Young Artist Competition should move forward.  “Our young musicians have worked extremely hard, for countless hours, to improve themselves musically, and I think it would be a shame if those efforts went unnoticed.  Especially in these precarious times.”

The MSO is hoping that by the time we reach the scheduled March MasterWorks concert date, we will be able to have our orchestra on stage with our winner.  But, as always, flexibility is key.
