SUMMARY:2026 Young Artist Competition - Applications Open
DESCRIPTION:This annual competition is open to all musicians in grades 9-12 who reside or take music lessons within 50 miles of Muscatine\, Iowa\, and perform piano\, voice\, strings\, woodwinds\, brass or percussion. \nOne participant will be invited to perform his/her piece with the Muscatine Symphony Orchestra on March 14\, 2026 as a part of MasterWorks IV:\n“The Composer is Dead!”\nScholarships will be awarded for the top THREE winners for summer music camps and workshops.\nAuditions will be held on Sunday\, January 25\, 2026\nat Wesley United Methodist Church ~ Muscatine.\nEntrants must provide their own piano accompaniment for the audition.\nDeadline for submission of application: January 21\, 2026.\n___________________________________________\nTo enter visit https://muscatinesymphony.org/2026-howe-foundation-young-artist-competition-sign-up-form/ to complete the entry form.
