David Greenhoe

David Greenhoe has been performing with the Muscatine Symphony Orchestra for four years.

His earliest musical memories were “playing cornet solos with my mom accompanying me when I was a pretty little kid.  Later, I played in a very good youth symphony (Michigan Youth Symphony in Ann Arbor), and the experience of playing Sibelius symphonies with a wonderful conductor (that I later learned had studied with Sibelius) would set my life’s path.

As for his favorite music and composer, “Ah, favorite music – that’s hard.  I like different kinds of music as a listener than as a player, though it all affects me in some way as a player, and it’s always changing…. Anyway, favorite composers are Bach and Sibelius.”

His favorite MSO performances, “Mahler 1, Beethoven 5, nice MSO memories”
