 A Note from Our President:

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Muscatine Symphony Orchestra Association (MSOA), I welcome you to our 2020-2021 season. After months of planning, watching, and listening to local, state and federal officials, the Symphony has worked with its Music Director and Conductor, Brian Dollinger, to  find ways to bring new performances to life within our current constraints of the world-wide pandemic of Covid-19.

To that end our conductor says it best”… the Muscatine Symphony Orchestra returns to present a whole season of FREE performances from October 10th through April 10th for the Muscatine community, all broadcasts at 7:00 p.m. the day of the concert. Utilizing as much technology and relationships as possible to make these projects possible, the performances will be streamed via YouTube, the Muscatine Symphony Facebook page, as well as being aired on MPW’s public access Channel 9. Repertoire that the Symphony will be performing includes some of the most well-known works in the symphonic repertoire as well as some lesser known works by major composers.  Mozart, Mendelssohn, Rossini, and Vivaldi headline the two performances. On one of those performances our guest artist Angelo Flavis, guitarist, will be joining us.”

Around the world, performing arts organizations have been dealt devastating blows by the world-wide pandemic of Covid-19.  The MSO has not been spared by similar effects. Our musicians have lost jobs and we have lost revenue, due to cancelled events in response to the pandemic. I encourage you to take a minute and donate online HERE.

Without our audiences, friends and neighbors we would not be able to exist. Thank you for your generous and continued support of your local symphony.

Be safe. Stay informed. Keep striving for new ways to be the best artist of yourself.
