Miriam Pusateri Garrett
Instrument: Oboe

Miriam graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in oboe performance and music education. She studied oboe with the late Mark Weiger. She was involved in many ensembles and performing groups throughout college. She also plays English horn, piano and alto saxophone.

Originally from Muscatine, Miriam has spent the past five years teaching elementary music in Cedar Rapids but moved back to Muscatine in 2016. Miriam has played with the Muscatine Symphony since 2004.

Miriam currently teaches her own private oboe studio and is a member of the Ladies of Note quartet. In her free time, Miriam enjoys cooking, reading, gardening, cheering on the Hawkeyes and spending time with her husband Braedan and daughter Maura.
