Miriam Pusateri Garrett
Instrument: Oboe

Miriam Pusateri Garrett recently graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in Music Education with an emphasis in oboe performance. She studied oboe with the late Mark Weiger. Throughout her oboe career she has played with many large and small musical ensembles. Some of these ensembles include the University of Iowa Symphony Band, Double Reed Ensemble, Philharmonia Orchestra, as well as playing alto saxophone in the Hawkeye Marching Band.

She started her music studies at age seven on the piano and now has her own music studio where she instructs students in oboe and piano. She enjoys making music with her family, who are also musicians. Miriam is currently a substitute teacher in the Muscatine Community School District.
