Earl grew up in La Crosse, Wisconsin,
where there was a great string interest. He played
in his high school orchestra, the La Crosse Symphony,
the St. John's Symphony (Collegeville, Minnesota),
and a string quartet for about five years.
He has played in a trio called GEM in Muscatine for
many years. The initials stand for the first initial
of each of the players: Gail (Pusateri), Earl, and
Maggie (Tiecke). He has also played in pit orchestras
for Muscatine Community College and The Masquers.
After 30 years with HON-Prime Mover, he retired in
1993 from BT Prime Mover as Purchasing Manager. His
family consists of seven children.
